About The Position

We are also part of AdventHealth, a unified health system with over 50 hospital campuses and hundreds of care sites in diverse markets throughout 9 states.
UChicago AdventHealth is looking to a Nurse Practitioner to their growing Gastroenterology department in Bolingbrook. The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with physicians and department support staff.

Requirements

• Master's degree of Nursing required.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration.
• 1-3 years' experience as an NP, Gastroenterology specialty preferred

Responsibilities

• Outpatient weekday clinic
• Inpatient rounding
• New patient consults
• Some weekday and weekend call requirements
• 1-2 evening clinic hours per week
