About The Position

Join the Gastroenterology team at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health. We are hiring a compassionate and highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to provide high-quality, patient-focused care in our Outpatient GI Clinic. About the Opportunity Role: Full-Time Outpatient APP (NP or PA) in Gastroenterology. Setting: Fast-paced, busy Outpatient GI Clinic. Schedule: NO call, NO weekends, NO holidays! (40 clinical hours/week). Team: Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of Gastroenterologists, APPs, and Nurses. Focus: Evaluation and management of adult GI conditions in collaboration with MDs.

Requirements

• 1 year of GI APP experience is required.
• Strong general Gastroenterology clinical knowledge and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Commitment to independent practice within a team-based, patient-centered care model.
• PA: Graduate of an accredited PA program.
• NP: Graduate of a Master’s program in Nursing.
• Required: Active APRN/PA certification and license, DEA number, and MA Controlled Substances Registration number.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of acute and chronic gastrointestinal illnesses, including:
• Comprehensive GI evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Diagnosing & managing: GERD and upper GI disorders Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Celiac disease Disorders of bowel habits (constipation, diarrhea) Functional GI disorders
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, stool studies).
• Coordinating care with GI subspecialists and other providers.
• Maintaining accurate EMR documentation and assisting with in-basket management.
