About The Position

Novant Health Surgical Institute is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join their established team, Novant Health Gastroenterology - Wilmington, located in the desirable coastal community of Wilmington, NC. The ideal candidate is board certified/board eligible and has a background and interest in providing hospitalist GI care which includes inpatient consults, subsequent care and inpatient procedures. The GI hospitalist is supported with two full time hospital based APPs. The hospitalist GI position has a 7on/7 off schedule. ERCP is preferred. The group consists of 7 physicians and 10 APPs; affiliated with Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center, the only level II Trauma center in southeastern North Carolina.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine required.
• Completion of an accredited residency program required.
• For specialty physicians - completion of an accredited fellowship program specific to medical specialty.
• Current MD or DO license in appropriate state.
• Board certification or eligibility.
• Current DEA license required.

Nice To Haves

• Interest in providing hospitalist GI care.
• Experience with ERCP.
