About The Position

Leer is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Gasket Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for stapling gasket material to panels according to customer specifications outlined in sales orders. You will ensure proper stacking, labeling, and completion of all tasks to support a smooth and efficient production process. This role requires precision, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow detailed instructions and quality standards.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in manufacturing a plus.
Good communication skills, basic math skills, and a positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers and screwdrivers, and power tools such as staple guns.
Proficiency in reading and using tape measures.
Adherence to all safety policies and protocols.
Ability to work mandatory overtime as needed.
Ability to lift, push and pull 25-40 + pounds on a continual basis.
Ability to push and pull carts.
Ability to safely use hand tools.
Ability to reach overhead frequently.
Ability to stand on concrete for up to 10 hours a day.

Responsibilities

Staple gasket material to panels accurately and securely, following specific instructions from sales orders and blueprints.
Remove excess foam from panel slots.
Safely use staple guns, drills and nail guns.
Drill holes in panels according to blueprint.
Inspect panels for defects and report any issues or discrepancies.
Operate electric power vacuum lifters, and use the vacuum lifts to safely move panels from worktable to pallet.
Stack completed panels in an organized manner, according to sales order, to prevent damage or misplacement.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines.
Work as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlines.
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
