About The Position

The Site Purchasing Leader leads Sourcing activities for assigned categories at the site and is accountable for achieving KPIs such as quality, on-time delivery, and cost reduction to meet the needs of internal (plant) and external customers. This is a key, high-visibility role connecting global category teams, planners/schedulers, and plant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial experience in Sourcing, Sales, Commercial Operations, and/or Supply Chain.

  • Prior sourcing experience in contract negotiation negotiating, identifying opportunities, selecting suppliers and implementing contracts

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute short-, mid-, and long-term category strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Define supplier selection criteria (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) in line with regional projects and Group/Regional guidelines.
  • Build and manage the supplier panel for assigned categories, considering project and business constraints.
  • With stakeholders, implement supplier performance improvement plans focused on on-time delivery, quality, and cost competitiveness; improve cash through negotiated payment terms.
  • Maintain strong, constructive relationships with suppliers.
  • Regularly benchmark and audit the competitiveness of key suppliers.
  • Own purchasing reporting for your categories/commodities.
  • Partner with Sales to enhance the competitiveness of customer proposals.
  • Monitor supplier performance and lead corrective actions to ensure targets are met.
  • Champion best practices and drive their adoption.
  • Negotiate optimal commercial and operational terms (quality, price, delivery, etc.) aligned with specifications and global objectives, directly with supplier decision-makers.
  • Follow standard processes: source new parts, maintain accurate data in procurement systems/tools such as SAP ERP, and provide timely progress updates to leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with Quality, Global Sourcing, Engineering, Planners and Schedulers, and Finance.
