About The Position

Chromalloy is a global engineering & solutions company that provides aftermarket parts, repairs, and solutions to extend the life of aircraft engines and gas turbines. They develop, manufacture, and repair critical turbine components for the aerospace, energy, and defense industries worldwide. Chromalloy is seeking an experienced Gas Turbine Engineer to support its global energy-sector customers. This role is crucial for Chromalloy's Continued Operational Safety (COS) and customer technical support initiatives. The position requires a skilled engineering professional capable of leading field investigations, analyzing component conditions, and delivering actionable technical findings to various stakeholders. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge in gas turbine design and manufacturing, coupled with hands-on experience working for an owner/operator of gas turbines. The engineer will collaborate across engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to diagnose problems, drive corrective actions, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Basic statistical analysis and data interpretation
Strong understanding of gas turbine engines and associated components
Basic mechanical and repair knowledge relevant to turbine engine systems
Effective communication at all levels of an organization – written and verbal
Fluency in English (spoken and written)
Proficient use of camera and computer equipment for documentation purposes
Flexibility for domestic and/or international travel as required (up to 50% in the first six months)
Must have an active passport or ability to acquire one in a timely manner

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience with the GE LM2500 and/or LM6000 aeroderivative gas turbine engines
Experience in MRO, or field service engineering environment
Understanding of failure analysis or root cause investigation methodologies

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical contact for customers after hardware or engine delivery, providing expert guidance and timely resolution of operational issues.
Lead customer issue investigations by coordinating with cross‑functional internal teams, including engineering, quality, manufacturing, and field service.
Support root‑cause analysis (RCA) and failure investigations, ensuring accurate diagnosis and transparent communication with customers.
Provide on‑site or remote customer support as needed, occasionally traveling to customer facilities for inspections, technical assessments, or relationship management.
Support Chromalloy's COS initiative to ensure ongoing safety and operational integrity of Chromalloy-manufactured parts.
Monitor the in‑service performance of Chromalloy parts, repairs, coatings, and engineered solutions; proactively identify opportunities for reliability or durability enhancements.
Analyze engineering data and develop technical reports summarizing engine condition, component condition assessments and trend analysis.
Create and deliver technical presentations and reports as required for internal and external audiences.
Communicate findings, observations, and recommendations to the key stakeholders.
Provide engineering recommendations based on data analysis and field observations.
