Southern Cross is hiring for a full-time Gas Leak Survey Technician to inspect gas lines and pipes to determine the origin and severity of a gas leak. As a Gas Leak Survey Technician, you will be trained to detect, locate, and evaluate gas leaks and report leaks to the local gas company. In this position you will drive a company vehicle. However, It may be required to have a reliable personal vehicle during training (typically 4-5 weeks) for daily work use. Training is typically 4-5 weeks (paid), learning how to accurately detect and classify natural gas leaks, walking 5 or more miles per day, working outdoors in all weather conditions and environments i.e.: in and around vehicular traffic, residential and commercial environments, rural environments including: tall grass, uneven walking areas, fields, city sidewalks, alley ways and at times encountering dogs and wildlife.
