The role involves a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service, and merchandising. Meijer is seeking an entry-level team member to join as a General Merchandise Clerk, capable of completing diverse retail tasks including product handling, customer service, pricing, inventory, and merchandising. The team member will also collaborate with other team members and managers on additional tasks as needed. The ideal candidate is a people person who wants to have a positive impact on their community.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with customers
• Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language
• Help customers with any questions they may have
• Direct customers to another team member who can answer questions if unable to
• Stock product and maintain displays according to merchandising standards
• Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks
• Complete a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service, pricing, inventory, and merchandising
• Collaborate with other team members and managers on additional tasks as needed
