About The Position
Join BJ's Wholesale Club as a Gas Station Attendant, where you will be responsible for the daily operation of our gas station. This role involves performing essential opening and closing procedures, monitoring and maintaining gas station equipment, and assisting members with gas station transactions and payments. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and security standards while providing exceptional service to our members. Your commitment to maintaining cleanliness and operational efficiency will contribute to a positive experience for all who visit our gas station. As a Gas Station Attendant, you will be tasked with monitoring gas station sales transactions and handling cash transactions when applicable. You will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards of restrooms and performing custodial duties as needed. Regular monitoring and maintenance of gas station equipment will be part of your daily routine, along with overseeing the fuel delivery process and performing required preparation procedures. You will need to understand and comply with all safety and security features of the gas station, promptly informing management of any alarms or issues that arise. In addition to these responsibilities, you will perform cash drawer procedures, including cash deposits, verification, documentation, and control procedures. Daily competitive price surveys will be conducted to ensure that posted gas prices and club signage match the pricing in the point of sale (POS) system. You will also be responsible for logging all visitors and ensuring proper identification is obtained before allowing anyone inside the kiosk area. Your role will require you to maintain all club policies and procedures while performing other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job, and you will be expected to carry out your responsibilities with honesty, integrity, and a commitment to service excellence.
