About The Position

Kitchen • Consistently prepares and cooks food orders brought to appropriate temperature including appetizers, pizzas, sandwiches, and related items according to prescribed menus or recipes. • Ensures all food items are properly stored, stocked, and dated. • Performs nightly QA/QC of products on the deli line to ensure freshness. • Monitors temperature control of refrigerators and iceboxes and contacts HVAC technicians to conduct repairs. • Stocks and maintains proper inventory level of food supplies, ingredients, and other consumables on the menus shift as well as the set-up for the following shift.. • Helps clean and sanitize all food preparation equipment, dishes, and utensils. • Assists with Clerk and Attendant duties when needed. • Maintains general working area/surface sanitization protocol in accordance with the city and state health department codes. • Displays efficient and safe knife skills; ensures knife sets are routinely sharpened. • Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained. • Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines. • Performs other duties as assigned. Attendant • Ensure property is clean and safe for customers and employees of the store. • Help coordinate the maintenance and upkeep of the store, ensuring safe and sanitary conditions in all public/private areas. • Assists Store Manager and Shift Supervisor with equipment maintenance and reporting. • Assists with product deliveries and inventory storage. • Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures. • Ensures compliance with all stores operating policies and procedures. • Exercises independence initiative in completing operational activities of the convenience store, under the direction of the Store Manager. • Perform other duties related to the operations assigned by the Store Manager or Shift Supervisor. Clerk • Tags and reorganizes merchandise. • Monitors and maintains inventory stock on the store floor by replenishing and arranging merchandises, and rotating consumable merchandise. • Processes internal orders and maintains inventory in the stock room. • Receives merchandise and properly processes POs. • Sets up promotional material and displays. • Performs point-of-sale register transactions efficiently and accurately. Ensures items are priced correctly, discounts are processed appropriately, payments are received and exchanged correctly, and items are wrapped and bagged for guests. • Maintains a neat and tidy store and stock room by cleaning shelves, counters, tables, vacuuming and removing trash at the end of the day. • Performs opening and closing procedures to ensure that the store opens/closes on-time. • Performs clerical duties such as answering the phone, completing damage, open item and stamp sales logs. • Reads departmental memos and stays current on various casino and VOC events and promotions to respond to guest inquiries. • Maintains knowledge of store products’ specifications and information. • Maintains consistent attendance and punctuality, and appearance that contribute to a high level of team performance and guest service. • Ensures a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained. • Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Does not provide supervision to other team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree preferred.
  • Food Handler’s Certificate required.
  • RBS Certification of alcohol awareness program must be obtained within 90 days of employment and maintain current certification.
  • California Responsible Beverage Service Training required upon hire.
  • Must be age 21 years of age or older.
  • 1 to 2 years of restaurant production/cooking experience required.
  • Experience with a web-based inventory ordering system.
  • Microsoft office including Word, Excel and Outlook strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of microwave oven, toaster oven, hot press, and turbo oven use.
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of convection and induction ovens.
  • Demonstrated basic knife skills and culinary knowledge.
  • Knowledge of basic cold food preparation.
  • Previous working knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred.
  • Ability to work in a professional high-pressure environment while demonstrating and maintaining good personal relation/people skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under stress.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours during the day or evening including weekends, holidays, and all blackout dates.

  • Experience with cooking and catering preferred.
  • Experience with a rapid cook oven helpful.
