About The Position

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. We are currently seeking a Natural Gas Scheduler to join our Commercial Operations team. This role will report to the Director, Gas Operations & Logistics and have responsibility for daily pipeline nominations, monitoring supply interruptions and managing pipeline balances on feeder pipelines that supply Venture Global’s Interstate pipelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, supply chain, or another related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in natural gas pipeline scheduling
  • Familiarity with Energy Trading Risk Management (ETRM) systems
  • Working knowledge of Interstate Pipeline EBBs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Inquisitive and Analytical nature
  • Ability to work effectively on short notice and provide coverage outside of normal office hours, including holidays and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Entering pipeline nominations for gas purchases and sales on a timely basis complying with the pipeline’s cycle deadlines
  • Passing relevant upstream and downstream contract information to third parties ensuring nomination accuracy
  • Balancing pipelines daily by validating all deals and updating transportation movements in the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system
  • Monitoring pipeline informational postings for maintenance schedules, capacity constraints, and any relevant tariff changes including commodity charges and fuel changes
  • Verifying new service agreements and updating any relevant fuel and commodity charges to accurately capture variable costs
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with feeder pipeline scheduling representatives
  • Participating in an on-call rotation plan to provide scheduling coverage outside of normal office hours including holidays and weekends
  • Assisting Back Office during their settlement process providing pipeline support for volumetric discrepancies
