CRC's Elk Hills Power Team is seeking to fill a Gas Plant Operator (Gas Processing) position in our Tupman, CA location.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with excellent mechanical and electrical repair skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of oilfield experience.
  • Must be a team player, self-starting with good communication skills.
  • Good to excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with multiple disciplines.
  • Must be able to properly and safely wear all required PPE such as safety glasses, hard hat, steel toed shoes, supplied-air respirator, etc.
  • Must have the ability to walk down all plant equipment and record readings.
  • Must have the ability to perform minor maintenance on equipment.
  • Must be able to make necessary adjustments to equipment as needed.
  • Must have the ability to properly facilitate the LOTO system.
  • Must have Valid Driver's License & clean DMV record.
  • Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds and climb stairs and/or ladders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of Plant Inlet, recovery, fractionation, refrigeration system, gas compression, dehydration, heat medium - steam exchange and gas fired heaters, amine treatment, cooling tower, product quality, NGL product shipping down DOT pipelines.
  • Conduct daily rounds of plant equipment to ensure that all equipment is running within operational parameters.
  • Work around high voltage electrical, high pressure steam, high pressure gas and hazardous materials.
  • Check for leaks, spills or other containment breaches, and correct these situations as necessary.
  • Promote, practice, and enforce plant safety procedures, and understand the correct use of personal and protective equipment.
  • Communicate any abnormal plant conditions to the Gas Controller and or control room operator.
  • Overtime required as needed for special projects, plant outages, vacation/sick leave coverage.
