About The Position

As the Gas Operations Supervisor, you will supervise approximately seven operators and will be responsible for the operations of an OSHA Process Safety managed distillation plant, the deuterium gas generation process, and gas packaging operations. You will schedule tasks and processes to meet department and company objectives, which include scheduling personnel, equipment, and ordering raw materials. You will maintain awareness of general area operations to ensure that resources (personnel and facility/equipment) are used towards maximizing our overall effectiveness and provide assistance or guidance, if needed. You will ensure tasks are completed properly and that processes proceed consistent with operating procedures and quality guidelines. Safety and quality throughout processes must be ensured by following ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, PSM, and cGMP guidelines. You will participate in process safety hazard analysis activities for the deuterium and CO processes, select, train, develop, motivate, and evaluate employees, and lead and motivate through positive reinforcement, encouragement, example, and communication of company values. You will quickly resolve personnel conflicts and problems as they arise, identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements, support our GMP and ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 quality certifications, create/maintain a positive pro-active approach toward quality, compliance, and safety, report incidents, assist in investigating causes and follow up with appropriate actions, and ensure work practices are safe and in compliance with company guidelines, industry practice and government regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing.
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with 5+ years of experience in gas manufacturing or gas distillation.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) program.
  • Prior experience managing people.
  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience working in gas distillation.
  • Experience working with SAP.
  • Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with ISO, OSHA, EPA, FDA Regulations.
  • Technical production and analytical skills.
  • Good mechanical, writing, and computer skills.
