About The Position

Wood is looking for a Gas Measurement Technician to join our team on the Carbon Creek Energy project, located in the Powder Basin area. This position offers a stable career opportunity with a long-term company. The role involves working outdoors in extreme temperatures and requires a strong willingness to learn and take direction from experienced personnel. The technician will be responsible for various tasks related to gas measurement and calibration, ensuring accurate custody transfer of deliveries and receipts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of formal or industry experience in the oil/gas field is preferred.
• Working knowledge of screw & reciprocating compressors.
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills needed for planning, scheduling, record keeping, regulations, engine analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Self-starter with strong planning, technical, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated HSE leadership ability & desire to deliver Zero Incident HSE results.
• Must be able to communicate and work with other personnel, departments, and outside officials.
• Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Perform verification/calibration on differential pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, pressure transmitters, chart recorders, and other measurement related ancillary equipment.
• Maintain measurement calibration data and historical records.
• Assist in the investigation and resolution of over/short measurement situations.
• Prepare measurement tickets and associated paperwork to ensure accurate custody transfer of deliveries and receipts.
• Schedule, coordinate, perform and/or witness meter proving of custody transfer meters, control meters and densitometers.
• Maintain meter factor and densitometer trend data and perform and/or coordinate measurement equipment calibrations.
• Input all data on a timely basis to maintain the control chart database.
