Our company converts biogas generated at landfills and at dairy farms into clean, renewable electricity or renewable natural gas (RNG). As a leader in this industry, with more than 20 operating facilities stretching from North Carolina to California, we have the proven capabilities to help provide communities with safe, environmentally sound renewable energy. Headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, DTE Biomass Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of DTE Energy. DTEBE has an immediate opening at our facility below. Fort Bend Power Producers, LLC. is a landfill gas to renewable natural gas (RNG) processing facility that utilizes landfill gas in Needville, TX. The facility has an 8.0 MMCFD LFG processing plant consisting (2) blowers, (2) Ingersoll Rand reciprocating gas compressors, (1) Worthington reciprocating gas compressor and (2) new Vilter Screw Compressors installed in 2018. The plant has gas treatment equipment to remove H2S, Oxygen, water and CO2. This position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of a landfill gas collection system. Work is performed under the direction of a GCCS Manager, with work results reviewed through the achievement of set goals and adherence to policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Possesses a valid driver’s license and good driving record
At least one year of mechanical or construction experience
Ability to analyze problems, develop solutions and recommend sound alternatives
Ability to work overtime including call outs outside of normal business hours, weekends, and holidays
Basic computer skills and proficiency with MS Office applications

Nice To Haves

Previous military experience
A technical degree or certificate in an electrical or mechanical field is preferable, or equivalent work experience with electrical and mechanical systems
Familiar with gas compression and/or gas transportation

Responsibilities

Conducts day-to-day maintenance, and repair of a landfill gas (LFG) collection system
Performs inspections and maintenance on wells, pumps, well head assemblies, air and force main, all piping repairs under 6” in diameter, etc.
Performs well pump repairs and rebuilds as needed
Performs well pump installation per PM schedule
Performs well extensions as needed
Performs quarterly well sounding
Adheres to company and project specific health and safety requirements; participates in monthly safety audits and inspections
Maintains administrative records including logbook, filing system for drawings, instruction books and manuals, spare parts inventory, and records
Supports and assists the work of contractors on-site
Routinely operates a motor vehicle and/or off-road vehicle on undeveloped terrain
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Complete other activities as directed by the GCCS Manager
