As a Gas Geographic Information System Technician, you will work under minimal supervision to perform the review, processing, and recording of a variety of gas hard copy and digital geographic and tabular data in support of the Gas GIS Services department operations. You will be responsible for organizing and executing the entry and maintenance of data in various company systems, including Geographic Information System (GIS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Document Management System (DMS), and manual files. Your role will also involve assisting with GIS technical duties, including spatial data creation, data entry and updates, and the creation of basic graphics and maps to support the gas enterprise GIS data. You will monitor, evaluate, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures, while establishing and maintaining GIS accuracy and mapping standards to meet safety and reliability requirements. Additionally, you will participate in special projects to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and processes, and perform other duties as assigned, including on-call support (no more than 5% of duties).
