About The Position

Delek US Holdings is a boutique-sized diversified downstream energy company with a range of assets, including petroleum refining and logistics. The Gas Plant Operator sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing gas plant operation. This role involves monitoring meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. The operator is responsible for reporting any malfunctions or abnormalities and making minor adjustments and repairs to equipment, all while adhering to established safety procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required).
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • No Licensure or Certification Required.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing gas plant operation.
  • Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
  • Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Analyzes specifications and controls continuous operation process units.
  • Reads operating logs, test results of amine samples, and laboratory recommendations to determine changes in equipment controls required to optimize processing.
  • Takes readings within gas plant.
  • Monitors and operates specialized equipment making adjustments as needed/authorized.
  • Prepares equipment for maintenance and obtains work permits for maintenance.
  • Writes up work orders so maintenance can be performed on specific equipment including LOTO.
  • Completes a detailed shift handover for next shift change.
  • Reports and submits operating logs and safety incident reports.
