About The Position

Grinding crankshaft rod and main journals using a crankshaft grinding lathe. This is a self-directed position requiring the person to read and understand micrometers to accurately machine the surfaces. Requires positioning crankshaft from a floor rack into the machine and into a floor rack for shipment. Knowing, understanding, and performing machine set-up and preventive maintenance is required. Requirements

• The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
• The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 8-10 hours)
• The ability to use handheld tools such as Handheld mic’s, check for the size of the product, handheld profilometers is a tool to check surface finishes.

• Reading and understanding micrometers to accurately machine the surfaces
• Positioning crankshaft from a floor rack into the machine and into a floor rack for shipment
• Performing machine set-up and preventive maintenance
