Requirements

  • High School Diploma, HSED, or GED.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and meet company standards for driving.
  • Company or pipeline construction field work experience is a plus.
  • Mechanical and Technical courses or experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Nominations, Pipeline and Compressor Station operations for safe reliable delivery of natural gas.
  • Coordinate and monitor various remotely monitored pipelines, compressor stations and interconnects for field operations.
  • Remotely control system operations (valves, compressors and other field components) as well as monitor and reacting to abnormal conditions on locally operated Compressors, Pumps, Regulators, Dehydration and Auxiliary Equipment.
  • Comply with Operator Qualification requirements.
  • Forecast, plan and schedule daily supply and operations based on changes in Customer nominations, demand or supply availability.
  • Complete various reports with the highest attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Handle alarms and gas supply emergency situations, including low and high pressure conditions, control failures, power outages, communication outages and any other loss of supply that affects the system operations.
  • Make suggestions and or recommendations for system improvements regarding the SCADA system and other operating software.
  • Comply with all government regulations for Control Room and Alarm Management.
  • Perform trouble shooting, repairs and routine maintenance on Pipelines, Compressors, Valves, Dehydration Equipment.
  • Troubleshoot communication problems- radio, phone line and SCADA connections.
  • Frequent coordination with Storage, Operations, Measurement and Engineering on station upgrades and various construction-related projects in order to prevent gas supply disruptions and assure positive customer relations.
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with field personnel, engineers, pipeline contacts and any other internal or external stakeholders that interact with Gas Control.
