About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Garnishment and Tax Specialist to join our team. Some experience in either garnishments or payroll tax is preferred; experience in both is not required. Junior-level candidates with payroll knowledge, strong attention to detail, analytical skills, ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and a keen desire to learn are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Process and manage wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other court-ordered deductions.
Review, interpret, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local garnishment laws.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all garnishments.
Communicate with employees, agencies, and legal entities regarding garnishment inquiries and disputes.
Research and resolve discrepancies related to garnishment orders.
Work closely with the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely deductions.
Assist Tax specialists with biweekly, quarterly, and yearly reconciliations.
Run tax reports as needed to verify data, ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Research payroll tax issues.
