About The Position

The Garment Production Lead plays a crucial role in supporting the production line at ReadyOne Industries, ensuring the timely and cost-efficient production of high-quality products. This position involves assisting Sewing Supervisors in achieving production objectives while adhering to company policies and promoting a safe work environment. The role requires proficiency in sewing operations and the ability to manage workloads effectively.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Two years of work experience in sewing or related industry.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish with leadership skills.
• Proficient in operating tacking and automatic equipment.
• Experience with three and four thread serge equipment and safety-stitch machinery.
• Good mechanical aptitude for machine adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to align operational activities with company cultural behaviors.
• Adhere to company policies and drive continuous improvement across operational processes.
• Participate in the Total Quality Management system and follow QMS schedules.
• Attend mandatory training and development programs.
• Support Sewing Supervisor in balancing and controlling production lines.
• Operate key line equipment during manpower shortages or absenteeism.
• Absorb workloads of various sewing operations as needed.
• Achieve production targets on key operations as specified.
• Maintain and update training initiatives and employee records.
• Foster employee relations to motivate and reward staff.
• Communicate workplace issues to the Sewing Supervisor.
• Participate in safety programs to promote a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with individuals to resolve production and quality issues.
• Develop effective working relationships across all organizational levels.
• Assist in supervising employees on production lines.
