About The Position

We’re looking for a dedicated Gardener to help maintain and enhance the natural beauty of White Sands Missile Range. If you take pride in your work and enjoy hands-on tasks, this is your opportunity to make an impact every day.

As part of our grounds team, you’ll play a key role in keeping the landscape healthy and vibrant:

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of gardening/grounds experience
• 3+ years of sprinkler system maintenance (preferred)
• Valid Driver’s License (driving required)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and ability to perform in outdoor conditions

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of irrigation systems and soil management
• Strong communication skills (English required)
• Commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork
• Respect for diversity and the ability to work in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Irrigate grass, shrubs, and plants to maintain optimal health
• Apply fertilizers and manage soil pH programs
• Restore lawns by seeding or laying sod
• Trim and prune shrubs and plants to maintain appearance
• Conduct soil testing and monitor seasonal needs
• Program and maintain automatic sprinkler systems
• Repair irrigation systems, including sprinkler heads, valves, and drip lines
• Take on special landscaping projects as assigned
