Seasonal Gardens Worker (Part-Time)

$15/hr | March–September | Thursday–Saturday

If you want a role where your work actually matters, Bittersweet Farms is looking for a Seasonal Gardens Worker to support our Gardens Program. You’ll grow produce, work with your hands, learn horticulture skills, and contribute to programs that support individuals with autism.
This is a great fit for someone who likes staying active, enjoys nature, and wants a job that feels meaningful—not just another shift.
Your Schedule
Thursday: 8:00am–4:00pm
Friday: 8:00am–4:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am–12:00pm
This schedule is fixed, so you’ll always know exactly when you’re working.

Requirements

• Someone who leads with empathy and respects others
• A team player who communicates clearly
• Patience, adaptability, and a willingness to learn
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle active, physical tasks
• High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

• Experience with gardening is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Planting, watering, weeding, fertilizing, and harvesting crops
• Mixing soil and prepping beds
• Maintaining greenhouses and garden areas
• Hand‑harvesting fruits and vegetables
• Supporting daily garden operations across fields, hoop houses, and greenhouses
