About The Position

The position focuses on creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. The role involves establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages customer return. The individual will be responsible for achieving sales and profit goals for the department while monitoring and controlling quality assurance standards. The position requires directing and supervising all functions, duties, and activities within the department, supporting day-to-day operations, and embracing the Customer 1st strategy to encourage excellent customer service. Requirements

  • Minimum effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math: counting, addition, and subtraction.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Must be able to meet the minimum physical demands of the position.
  • Must be 18 or older.

  • Create a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department.
  • Inform and educate department associates about promotions.
  • Implement the period promotional plan for the department.
  • Maintain awareness of inventory and stocking conditions.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise the inventory process.
  • Train department associates on inventory and Computer Assisted Ordering.
  • Model excellent customer service and maintain a clean department.
  • Demonstrate creative merchandising.
  • Authorize manager discretion markdowns.
  • Understand and perform cashier functions.
  • Ensure seasonal plans are executed to standard.
  • Reinforce safety programs and comply with safety procedures.
  • Practice preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
  • Report safety risks, illegal activity, and issues.
