About The Position

The Fruita CO-OP is looking for a person who has a wide variety of knowledge in plants and soils. During the planting season, we carry a wide variety of vegetables and flowers in our greenhouse. We also have a wide selection of soils to choose from to enhance the growing experience. We are looking for a person who has a passion for planting and who can discuss the 'how to' with customers that need a little help or advice choosing the right plant and how to make it grow to its full potential.

Requirements

• Wide variety of knowledge in plants and soils.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Ability to lift and load 50lb+ bags of soil, mulch, and fertilizer.
• Cashier experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with plant selection and provide advice on plant care.
• Ensure plants are properly watered and pruned.
• Handle cashier duties and ring customers out using a register.
• Make weekly orders to keep the greenhouse fully stocked with plants and flowers.
