About The Position

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Garden Center Associates. As a vital part of our garden center operations, you will assist customers, maintain inventory, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all patrons. This seasonal position offers a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in customer service, horticulture, and retail operations.

Spring Season (approximately April-June)

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with inquiries, product selection, and gardening advice.
• Maintain a clean and organized garden center environment, including restocking shelves, watering plants, and arranging displays.
• Assist in receiving and processing shipments of plants, gardening supplies, and merchandise.
• Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling policies.
• Monitor plant health and report any issues to management to ensure the highest quality of products for our customers.
• Assist with special promotions, events, and sales initiatives to increase customer engagement and sales.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective operations during peak periods.
