About The Position

The Garden Center Associate serves as the initial point of contact for visitors at the Garden Shoppe, providing exceptional customer service and communication. This role involves assisting customers in the garden retail areas, managing transactions through a point-of-sale system, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shop. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, especially during holidays and special events.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication skills, able to speak clearly and persuasively in various situations.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Proficient in operating necessary equipment, including personal computers and standard office equipment.

Nice To Haves

• General knowledge of plants and trees of Southwest Florida landscape.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and efficient assistance to visitors, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintain a tidy Garden Shoppe area by pulling weeds and sweeping sidewalks.
• Stock and arrange the retail area to enhance customer experience.
• Oversee and delegate display setups within the shop.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area throughout the day.
• Ensure customer satisfaction in the Garden Shoppe by addressing inquiries and needs.
• Be flexible to cover last-minute special events or employee absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
