About The Position
We are seeking a Garbage Man for assignment in The Villages, Florida. The selected candidate will collect trash and garbage from city residents, and commercial establishments, onto a collection vehicle on an assigned shift. Hours are Monday - Friday, 5:30am - 3:30pm This posiiton has a pay rate of $15/hr This position is for a pitcher working on the back of a garbage truck
Requirements
- A valid Drivers License
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor for extended periods, often under adverse weather conditions
Responsibilities
- Works on an assigned sanitation route as a member of a collection crew
- Picks up trash and loads materials into collection truck
- Tags improperly sorted or oversized bins
- Performs other duties as required
