Garage Door Installer Orem, Utah We are looking for an experienced Garage Door Installer to join our team. Previous garage door installation experience is strongly preferred, but we are open to skilled tradespeople with related experience who are eager to learn. This position is paid hourly, with the opportunity to earn additional incentive pay based on installation performance and competed install rates. PURPOSE Installs products such as insulation, doors, windows, stairs, cabinets, sinks, or millwork into houses or buildings by performing the following duties.
Requirements
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Previous garage door installation experience is strongly preferred, but we are open to skilled tradespeople with related experience who are eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Loads and unloads materials from truck onto work site.
- Cuts product to specified size, as needed.
- Installs parts in specified relationship to each other.
- Verifies trueness of structure.
- Applies latest building codes, industry standards and company policies in daily work.
- Stays knowledgeable of OSHA regulations, and applies safety requirements in daily work (e.g. wearing hard hats, steel toe work boots, fall prevention requirements, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned.
