The Parking Garage Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality of the parking facility. This role ensures that equipment, systems, and physical structures are operating properly while providing a safe and welcoming environment for customers. Key Responsibilities Facility Maintenance Perform routine inspections of the parking garage (lighting, gates, ticket machines, signage, elevators, stairwells, etc.). Replace light bulbs and fixtures as needed. Maintain and repair minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components. Report major repair needs to management or approved vendors. Monitor and maintain ventilation systems and drainage areas. Equipment Maintenance Inspect and maintain ticket dispensers, pay stations, entry/exit gates, and access control systems. Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate service calls when necessary. Ensure credit card readers and payment systems are clean and functional. Cleaning & Upkeep Sweep, power wash, and remove debris from garage floors. Remove trash from stairwells, elevators, and surrounding areas. Clean signage, mirrors, payment kiosks, and glass surfaces. Remove oil stains and spills promptly. Assist with snow/ice removal (if applicable). Safety & Compliance Identify and address safety hazards. Ensure fire extinguishers and emergency equipment are accessible and inspected. Maintain clear pedestrian pathways and emergency exits. Follow OSHA and company safety policies. Customer Support Assist customers with minor issues when needed (directions, payment kiosk guidance). Report customer complaints or recurring issues to management.
