The GAP/ETCH Claims Department is responsible for administering APCO's GAP Deficiency Waiver Addendum and GAP Insurance Policy programs. These products are designed to assist customers in the event their vehicle is declared a total loss, but the insurance settlement is not enough to cover the loan balance owed on the vehicle. The department is also responsible for administering claims for APCO's ETCH Registration and Warranty products, which are designed to be a theft deterrent. In the event that a theft does occur and the vehicle is a total loss as a result, the ETCH Warranty and Registrations are designed to issue a payment.
