The GAP/ETCH Claims Department is responsible for administering APCO's GAP Deficiency Waiver Addendum and GAP Insurance Policy programs. These products are designed to assist customers in the event their vehicle is declared a total loss, but the insurance settlement is not enough to cover the loan balance owed on the vehicle. The department is also responsible for administering claims for APCO's ETCH Registration and Warranty products, which are designed to be a theft deterrent. The GAP Claims Adjuster reviews loan and insurance documentation details to determine if there exists a loan balance eligible to be waived for GAP claims. The Claims Adjuster also determines if coverage is applicable under an ETCH Registration and Warranty, as well as field ACD calls regarding the programs and claim processes, and entry of documentation received into the GAP claims system for both programs.
