About The Position

Suvi is seeking a Gang Intelligence Specialist to support our federal client by identifying valuable and timely intelligence derived from correctional facilities; evaluate and analyze the intelligence; and share and document the results of the analysis through intelligence products. The Gang Specialist will utilize their expertise in identifying gang and criminal threats, new and emerging threats, and have the ability to concisely articulate those findings in formal work products and reports. The Gang Specialist will have a strong working knowledge of their area of responsibility in which they are being assigned. Gang specialists will maintain a comprehensive understanding of gang-related threats under the National Gang Intelligence Center (NGIC) and the Correctional Intelligence Task Force's (CITF's) purview to evaluate the reliability of incoming intelligence, determine the impact of new intelligence to the threat, and identify emerging trends and indicators of changes to the threat. Gang specialists will work in collaboration with NGIC/CITF IAs to facilitate additional intelligence collection and analysis. The Gang Specialist will adapt to the continually changing intelligence needs and priorities of the FBI and its partners and the Law Enforcement (LE) community. The Gang Specialist is a demonstrated expert regarding prison gangs, corrections, intelligence collection, and/or LE investigations and will leverage their expertise and professional network.

Requirements

  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree or 8 years of specialized experience in lieu of degree.
  • 6+ years of general experience, with 4 years of specialized experience working with gangs and criminal enterprises.
  • Familiarity with Arizona/Nevada DOC/ Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) administration operating procedures and policies.
  • Experience with a wide variety of information systems, including federal, state, and local law enforcement and intelligence databases.
  • Experience handling sensitive intelligence including production and dissemination.
  • Experience in synthesizing vast amounts of data to derive meaningful actionable or informative intelligence products.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience reviewing digital evidence utilizing industry standard reporting applications.
  • Experience in identifying emerging threats or trends related to gangs operating inside and outside of prisons.
  • Experience in working with multiple agencies in a task force environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to a hybrid work role and address and satisfy FBI, and CITF correctional partners' intelligence collection and dissemination needs to answer intelligence threats and gaps related to gang and other criminal threats, as assigned.
  • Monitors and utilizes their historic expertise in keeping current of threats facing the United States Intelligence and Law Enforcement Communities, to include the top prison gang threats operating both inside and outside correctional institutions.
  • Works closely with FBI Violent Gangs Safe Streets Task Forces (VGSSTFs), and CITF correctional partners to include state prison systems and county/city jails throughout the United States.
  • Identifies gang leadership, their criminal associates and facilitators, methods of communications and criminal strategies and activities.
  • Facilitates outreach and integration efforts to the various CITF partners, in addition to FBI HQ units, FBI field offices, and other FBI task forces, such as safe streets or gang units, and other law enforcement and correctional organizations.
