JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluates and directs all Team Members, providing guidance, support, and leadership as necessary to accomplish established objectives while on duty. Provides supervision to the Gaming Department Team and ensures the delivery of an exceptional gaming experience for the guest. Actively participates in the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, progressive discipline, and retention of Gaming Ambassadors, Supervisors, and Technicians. Provides support to the Vice President General Manager on all Gaming related initiatives and projects. Works closely with KHRGC regarding projects and ensuring gaming compliance. Monitors and approves Payroll for the Gaming Department. Is responsible for actively monitoring existing rated players and capturing new players worthy of being rated using systems and processes already in place and those not in place yet. Enthusiastically promotes the benefits of using the Mint Rewards Card and capably explains the benefits of its use. Actively develops play of rated and unrated players by building relationships with high value players. Participates in the budget analysis of capital expenditures for department projects and resources related to the gaming floor and the Gaming Department Team. Evaluates operating procedures, recommends changes, and implements changes approved by property Leadership. Executes department directives, objectives, and communication to include hosting regular huddles as needed throughout the shift. As needed, assists with the approval of jackpots and fills. Monitors all activities to ensure the safeguarding of property assets. Observes workflow and provides feedback to positively impact the effective use of labor in all areas based on observations during the shift. Work in conjunction with Security and Surveillance to detect any floor, Team Member, or guest irregularities. Has a working knowledge of Title 31 requirements and internal control policies. Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies, and procedures. Shares and communicates current and relative information regarding terminal(s) status with the General Manager. Is aware of all upcoming special events and promotions property wide. Assists as needed with attending to bill or voucher jams and reports other failures of the terminals. Assists the Team with any opportunities relative to compliance with key control policies/procedures. Professionally resolves any guest disputes and assists all Team Members as needed with guest opportunities. Provides BIG Service to guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset. The ability to develop and maintain professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors. The ability to work safely. This includes clearly understanding and following company safety policies and procedures, completing work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions. Maintain regular attendance at scheduled shift and staff meetings. Maintain professionalism and a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout the shift. Assist with training/mentoring of new team members as requested. Maintain all appearance standards in accordance with established uniform and appearance guidelines. Inform General Manager of any irregularities and unusual situations when they occur. Ability to keep a friendly, calm, and helpful demeanor in high-stress situations and a continuously fast-paced environment. Is honest in all interactions and displays a high degree of integrity. Ability to work independently with little to no supervision or as part of a team is required. Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Prior gaming or relevant experience required. High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) required. Computer literate with knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & Outlook). Must be 21 years of age or older. Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks. Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy. Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
