The KFI includes professionals from diverse disciplines including industrial/organizational, quantitative, and educational psychology; sociology; neuroscience; economics; and data science. As such, this role may require collaboration across research, thought leadership, data, analytics, IP, and measurement areas, and projects may involve multiple cross-functional stakeholders. Our new 10-week global internship program is part of Korn Ferry Launch, which is an early-career development program created to give interns and recent graduates a head start in their professional life. It’s an invaluable learning experience that could be the fast track to a rewarding long-term career at Korn Ferry. As an intern you’ll be given plenty of opportunity to make an impact here. In fact, you’ll be welcomed as a valued member of the team, and you’ll be working on real projects, alongside senior Korn Ferry Institute team members. Your assignments might include things like game creation, market mapping, analyzing data, or even attending organizational IP homeroom meetings - professional experiences that will look great on your resume. This internship will help you learn the business and people skills you need to succeed in the workplace and give you the chance to start building your professional network. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Game Design/Development, Interactive Media, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or similar field.
  • Strong foundation in virtual game design
  • Understand online-based, gamified assessments
  • Experience working with calculating scores based on actions taken in the game
  • Ability to translate analytical outputs into business-relevant insights
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work on open-ended, exploratory problems
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and privacy regulations is preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with psychology, behavioral design and/or measurement theory is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Development of a scalable, online game-based assessment designed to measure cognitive abilities at both the individual and team level.
  • Lead front-end and/or back-end development of the web-based game (e.g., UI implementation, game logic, data capture, or system integration).
  • Contribute to the development of interactive gameplay features, including user flows, feedback systems, scoring logic, and progression mechanics.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of game mechanics that validly and reliably measure cognitive, behavioral, and team interaction attributes aligned with established assessment models.
  • Help design and implement data collection and instrumentation to ensure gameplay produces usable assessment data at both individual and team levels.
  • Conduct usability testing and playtesting, gather user feedback, and assist in refining gameplay and interface design based on findings.
  • Assist with debugging, optimization, and performance tuning to ensure a stable and scalable proof of concept.
