The App Store team is seeking a hard-working and results-oriented Games Business Development Manager to support the growth of game developers on Apple platforms.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with deep knowledge of the games ecosystem and understanding of game monetization models, game development, and game publishing.
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Excellent presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to synthesize data and information and package those insights into persuasive, impactful reports and presentations.

  • Passion for playing games and an understanding of the mobile games' market.
  • A strong desire to learn and succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of game developers where Apple can have an outsized impact and where Games App integrations materially impact game performances.
  • Proactively identify and recruit new game developers to the Apple Games App, focusing on key segments (e.g., low adoption markets, indie developers, specific genres, feature related).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with BD teams and their Strategic Developers, understanding their business goals, technical challenges, and feature requests.
  • Provide comprehensive onboarding and ongoing support to developers, ensuring a smooth integration process and addressing their needs.
  • Actively promote the Games App's features, developer benefits, and success stories to the broader game developer community through events, conferences, online channels, and targeted outreach.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling case studies, best practices guides, and marketing materials showcasing the Games App's value proposition.
  • Inform the prioritization of the product roadmap based on real-world use cases, developer feedback, and market trends.
  • Support editorial teams to devise new curation and discovery programs, tailored towards the growth of diverse business models and content types in the Games App and App Store.
  • Contribute to the development of Apple's gaming vision at large, partnering with Engineering, Product Marketing, PR, Marketing, and other relevant teams.
