About The Position

The Manager, Game Presentation at the Detroit Pistons plays a crucial role in enhancing fan experiences during basketball games. This position involves collaboration across various departments to ensure that all game presentation content aligns with brand standards and fan engagement strategies. The manager will oversee pre-production activities, manage game-day operations, and lead creative planning for team and partner activations, all while fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Corporate Partnerships, Marketing, and Ticketing teams to deliver compelling creative content and game-day experiences for fans, both in-arena and globally.
  • Manage pre-production activities for the game presentation department, including developing programming calendars, brainstorming ideas, and preparing game summaries.
  • In partnership with the Director of Game Presentation, prioritize sellable assets for the Detroit Pistons and develop the annual Game Board Grid based on team initiatives, theme nights, and overall fan engagement.
  • Lead the creative planning and execution of team and partner activations during games.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations with the Group Sales department, including leading weekly meetings, securing performance approvals, and coordinating game day logistics to ensure a smooth fan experience.
  • Work with the Director of Game Presentation to strategically manage budgets and identify efficiencies across in-game operations and team events.
  • Provide production support at live events as needed to ensure high-quality game presentations.
  • Collaborate with the Motor City Cruise Game Operations Manager to test and share new programming ideas, content, and entertainment acts for the team's 24 home games.
  • Partner with the Business Intelligence team to gather insights from fan surveys, focus groups, and Season Ticket Holder interviews to continuously refine the in-game fan experience.
  • Research emerging technologies and trends to enhance the game-night experience and keep fan engagement fresh and exciting.
  • Identify cost savings across department spending.
  • Collaborate with the Partnership Activation team on execution and ideation of in-game elements and maintain required props.
  • Assist the Director of Game Presentation with drafting game documents as needed.
  • Coordinate post-event recaps with action items.
  • Attend all production meetings leading up to the game and on game night, host meetings as needed by the Game Presentation Director.
  • Coordinate promotions.
