About The Position

The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking a Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1 to perform maintenance and preservation services within State Game Lands. This role involves semi-skilled duties related to the upkeep of various outdoor facilities and habitats, contributing to the overall management and enhancement of wildlife areas.

Requirements

• One year of laboring experience using construction tools and equipment.
• One year of farming experience using agricultural tools and equipment.
• One year of construction equipment operation experience.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain an active Class A Commercial Driver's License within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and construction of bridges, roads, parking areas, and gates.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and signage.
• Survey new game land tracts and assist with habitat management tasks.
• Complete mowing duties including border cuts and access trail maintenance.
• Secure seeds and manage nursery production for wildlife food enhancement.
