About The Position

The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking a Game Lands Maintenance Group Supervisor to oversee the construction and maintenance of buildings, roads, and wildlife habitat areas on State Game Lands and private lands. This role involves leading a team in habitat management and ensuring the effective use of equipment for wildlife conservation efforts.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Four years of maintenance and wildlife habitat development experience as a Game Lands Maintenance Worker 2.
• One year of experience operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers and graders.
• Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead Game Land Maintenance Workers and volunteers in construction and maintenance tasks.
• Perform wildlife habitat work including border cuts, browse cuts, and shrub pruning.
• Operate motorized equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, and tractors.
• Identify woody plants and safely use chainsaws and hand tools for habitat management.
• Manage the construction and maintenance of buildings and roads on State Game Lands.
