The Galley Dishwasher is responsible for assisting kitchen staff by properly sanitizing and organizing all dishes, galley and storage areas on their shift and completing daily tasks in order to provide meals for guests of the Riverboats at the Gateway Arch and Paddlewheel Café. Ensure all dishes, including pots, plans, flatware, and glasses, are cleaned to the highest standard of quality and cleanliness. Correctly place and store clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas. Stock serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils. Clean trash receptacles with water or steam. Move dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work area. Maintain a clean work station area, including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves. Clean and sanitize cooking surfaces at the end of the shift. Maintain stock of cleaning supplies. May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed. Maintain adherence to all applicable FDA and St. Louis Health Department regulations. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests. Performs other related duties as assigned.
