About The Position
The Gallery Guide will work under the direct supervision of the Gallery Attendant Supervisor to provide an exemplary experience for visitors by warmly greeting them and enhancing their time in the Yayoi Kusama: For the Eternal Love of Pumpkins exhibition at the Dallas Museum of Art. This role will provide visitors with a concise and articulate orientation to exhibition guidelines prior to entry. The guide will proactively safeguard the artwork and advise the public to not touch or damage the artwork in any way. Due to varying demand, the Gallery Guides will be expected to work different hours every week, based on the needs of the department and of the DMA. The Gallery Guide working hours are based on the exhibition's hours and may include days, evenings, and nights. Availability to work weekends is preferred, as well as flexibility for extended hours outside of the museum's regular hours of operation including 'Late Night' events, other special events, and holidays.
