Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years' experience working with the population of the facility required.
• Licensed counselor/therapist, as required by the state and for the area of clinical expertise.
• Valid driver's license if required by the facility.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in human services field preferred.
• One or more years’ supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ownership of overall security and safety of facility
• Fulfill duties of security guard in addition to supervisory responsibilities
• Manage security monitoring of all persons entering and leaving facility property.
• Ensure all contraband is prevented from entering the facility and any existing contraband is eliminated
• Act as liaison with local law enforcement
• Maintain accurate documentation of all security rounds, room searches, and other investigatory activities
• Ensure patient compliance with programmatic rules relative to safety and security of all patients and staff
• Ensure appropriate training to all security staff
• Ensure adequate security staffing at all times for the facility.
• Coordinate with facility leadership regarding security matters
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
