About The Position

Are you a young woman or non-binary student looking to open doors to an exciting, impactful and fulfilling career? Would you like to receive professional training, dedicated one-to-one mentoring and support from application through to your internship — and beyond? If the answer is yes, the GAIN Empower Investment Internship Programme could be for you. The GAIN Empower Investment Internship Programme offers paid internships with leading UK-based investment firms, combined with technical training, mentoring and networking support to help you launch your career in investment management. Since the programme launched in 2021, more than 530 internships have been completed across 87 partner firms (2025 cohort).

Requirements

• Open to: Undergraduates in their penultimate or final year of study
• Master’s and MBA students from any discipline
• Candidates on track for or holding a 2:1 degree
• Applicants with the right to work full-time in the UK during the internship (no visa sponsorship available)
• No prior investment experience is required – just curiosity, motivation, and a drive to make a difference.
