About The Position

Prosperity Life Insurance Group, LLC is seeking a talented US GAAP Financial Reporting Senior Accountant to assist with the preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Candidates should have strong oral and written communication skills, and experience with life and annuity insurance companies is a strong plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 4+ years of professional work experience.
  • Experience in financial reporting and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust quickly in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to change priorities to meet critical deadlines.
  • Position requires proficiency and accuracy in using computer system databases.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with life and annuity insurance companies and/or Oracle is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting closings.
  • Perform reconciliations of ledger balances back to source data.
  • Review and monitor suspense account balances, taking appropriate corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure proper intercompany eliminations for consolidation within the financial reporting system.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements.
  • Collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Support auditors and/or state examiners by providing requested information and documentation.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.
