About The Position

This is a Federal Work Study Program (FWSP) student technical position which may require heavy, physical and manual labor. This position may involve moving equipment, working outside on grounds, and/or helping with preventative maintenance. This position may also require clerical and technical work, including but not limited to data entry, research, organization, technical usage of computers and athletic event specific programs. Hours per Week Up to 25 hours per week; schedule depends on seasonal demands. Working nights, weekends, and holidays is a possible function of this position.

Requirements

Students interested in this position must have flexible schedules.
Evening & weekend availability is required.
Ability to stand and walk regularly for long periods of time.
Ability to use hands regularly.
Ability to reach with hands and arms frequently.
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds regularly.
Ability to lift, push, or pull over 10 pounds occasionally.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Able to maintain confidentiality and have good interpersonal skills.
Must be highly motivated, dependable, possess independent work habits, and willing to accept other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Assist with all aspects of game-day and day-to-day operations, including, but not limited to, equipment setup/tear-down, tailgating/fanfest, promotions, on and off field/court entertainment, signage setup/tear-down, ticketing, scorer's table, pre- & post- event activities
Work with sports media relations
Other administrative clerical duties within the athletics department as assigned.
