About The Position

This position is an hourly, time-limited appointment for a student who has been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) financial aid. Federal Work Study Students are paid from Federal Financial Aid funds and may only work until those funds are exhausted. FWS students may work a maximum of 20 hours per week while classes are in session.

Requirements

• Professional dress and demeanor.
• Proficient using Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication, writing, and customer service skills.
• Ability to conduct research on assigned projects.
• Currently enrolled, degree-seeking, USF Sophomore or Junior with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0, having taken one course on statistics and one course on computer.
• Alternatively, excellent Freshman students with a GPA of 4.0 who have completed AP Statistics and AP Computer-related courses in high school may also apply.
• Must have a current Federal Work Study (FWS) and Summer Work Study (SWS) award for the current academic year.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge in working with data and AI-based tools.
• One year working experience in a professional office setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of research skills.

Responsibilities

• Update data in web-based applications and edit/proofread documents.
• Assist with testing of new applications and creating user materials.
• Work with data and AI-based tools such as Copilot, Teams Workflow, and Database.
