About The Position

The Architecture and Fine Arts Library is looking for a customer service- oriented student to join our Service Desk team. Responsibilities of the position include: Staffing the Service Desk Searching the UF Library Catalog to determine the location of library materials and if they are available for loan to patrons Loaning and returning of library materials Assisting patrons with Course Reserves, printers, scanners, and workstations and answering basic questions regarding their library accounts and policies Answering telephone calls and providing directional assistance Assisting patrons with general questions and referring them to other staff members when needed Organizing and re-shelving circulating library materials Patrolling the library to collect browsed library materials, and reporting maintenance or technical equipment issues to supervisor Assisting supervisor with collections projects (re-shelving, dusting, organizing, and shifting sections of the collection)
