The Office of the President is looking for a Work Study Office Assistant! This application is open for all current Pacific students. First-year students welcome to apply. Applicant must possess sensitivity to all cultures and understanding that student workers will often time be the first-ever human interaction prospective families will have in-person or email. Student workers will be expected to interact in a professional and positive manner during all events or any type of communication. Welcoming and greeting students and families, approaching incoming families and guests and sometimes just striking up a conversation are some of the duties. Hours for the position can be flexible but will generally be between regular office hours of 8 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The position of Work-Study Office Assistant provides administrative support to the Office of the President. Previous experience as an office assistant preferred, but not required. Performs general office duties including but not limited to document processing and archiving, typing, data entry, perform relevant research projects, receiving and delivery of mail, covering front desk, word processing, and photocopying. Contribute to the organization and efficiency of the office through filing and inventory. Assist in preparation, promotion, event support, marketing and outreach for events and meetings and other job specific tasks.
