About The Position
The FWS Dance Media and Marketing Specialist position at Pacific University is designed for current students who are passionate about dance and media. This role involves working closely with the Dance Program Director to enhance the visibility and engagement of the dance program through various marketing and publicity efforts. The specialist will be responsible for creating engaging dance films that will be showcased during concerts and on the department's website. Additionally, the role includes maintaining the dance program's social media presence, specifically on platforms like Facebook and Instagram, to connect with the community and promote upcoming events. The position requires the specialist to photograph dancers for publicity purposes and film studio rehearsals, creating mini “taster clips” that highlight the dance program's activities. The specialist will also assist the Dance Media and Marketing Specialist in various tasks throughout the year, ensuring that the dance program is well-represented in all media formats. This role is an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in media production, marketing, and communication within the arts sector, while also contributing to the vibrant dance community at Pacific University.
