The Campus Living "Bee" Project Assistant supports the Campus Living department by assisting with Campus Living operations, special projects, administrative tasks, and creative tasks. This role is crucial for enhancing the residential experience by supporting administrative processes, providing excellent customer service, creating engaging visual materials for residence halls and events, managing the creative workspace known as The HIVE. One "Lead Bee" will also guide the team, manage resources, and serve as an expert on Campus Living processes.

  • Support Housing Operations
  • Assist with Campus Living special projects (move-in/move-out, key management)
  • Help track project progress and meet deadlines
  • Prepare and organize project-related materials
  • Perform general office duties, including filing, scanning, copying, and data entry
  • Assist with maintaining and updating departmental records, databases, and digital files
  • Respond to inquiries (in-person, phone, email) from students, parents, and staff, or direct them to the appropriate resources
  • Support the department's efforts in promoting Campus Living processes and initiatives
  • Create, produce, and manage a wide range of visual communication materials for Campus Living spaces (hall signs, decorations, bulletin board content, and digital social media posts)
  • Prepare event supply kits, facilitation guides, checklists and marketing materials
  • Provide on-site assistance for department-wide and large-scale residential events
  • Oversee the inventory and upkeep of The HIVE workspace and supplies
  • Serve as a knowledgeable expert during office hours, providing guidance on HIVE resources
  • Actively engage in staff and supervisor meetings, training sessions, and team development
  • Be a full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate student at the Forest Grove campus, enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits, with a current and cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Maintain good standing with the University in regards to finances, academics, and conduct
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Excellent skills in design, communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace & Applications
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to be creative, curious, and innovative
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with university policies and procedures, particularly related to Campus Living
  • Experience with Canva, Cricut, or other design software
  • Experience in customer service
  • Wage rate: $16.30 per hour
  • Length of employment: From date hired, full academic year
